I guess since I have committed to this process I have to put all my cards on the table. Soooo that means Posting my starting weight. Now we can see the results near the end . I don't know why it seems to be a big deal to say those numbers ,I'm so much more comfortable telling my age than my weight even though I have made GREAT progress in this journey. Maybe because our weight is something that in most cases we can control by way of our behavior or much like our age we never really look as large as that number on the screen. Any way here it goes the starting weight is 257.8 which is 3lbs loss since my first week and I now have 37lbs to go to reach my July 30th goal. To most 3lbs is great and I think so too but I have done better and am gonna push a little harder is this extreme Uhh yes, lol but reach for the moon I may touch a star. Oh yeah FYI I was 351 when I began BOOYAAH! (insert happy dance).
The 40lbs by July 30th (40/30 challenge) is my way of pushing myself to reach my ultimate goal in my weight loss journey.

technical difficulties
Greetings I want to apologize for the delay in post my computer has been having connection issues, any way we are still on track. I am currently making my home made Granola that I love, it is so convenient for a quick filling breakfast or a snack to add to your greek yogurt. High in fiber and protein maybe I can take a pic of the recipe and post it.
1200 cal diet has been a little challenge especially when your on the move you definitely have to spend a whole day planning your menus for the week and if you are anything like me you may not have a taste for that particular choice or a family thing comes up or a meeting goes to long or its flat out to hot to cook, hey ISH happens. So try to have a back up plan there are many restaurant with low cal options notice I didn't say fast food take the extra time call in an order at a restaurant, you can find menus on your smart phone.
Ok ! On to my most exciting part I started YOGA! ( in my Oprah yell) and you talk about challenge? I did Bikram which is in a Hot 90 degree room. The teacher was very motivating, it kicked my tail but when it was over I had so much energy. Look it up maybe try a class many people don't get in to the heat and the positions are quite challenging but hey you will never know til you try but I promise you ,you will sweat an ocean, which is good for metabolism and detox.
My workout schedule is as follows:
Monday & Wednesday- The gym from 8-9 am 30 min cardio 30 weights lower body 9:30-11 Yoga
Tuesday & thursday - 6-7am spin 7-8am upper body weights 8:30-10 Hike
(Tuesday 6pm-8pm baseball practice)
Friday 5k run approximately 45-50 min 8am
Saturday break
Sunday light workout of my choice
Now please keep in mind I didn't just get started I have been working out 5 to 6 days a week for over a year and it has been gradual to get to this point. So if you are a beginner just find what you enjoy most and do that I love to lift weights and I love hiking. I started out doing maybe a an hour in the gym that combined cardio and weights and I slowly increased, but I made myself increase. I didn't stay at the same level on a machine more than two weeks if I did 20min on the elliptical the first week then I did 25 min the next week and every week increased I never spend more that 40min with a 5 min cool down for that time you can go on a nice hiking trail and take in the beautiful sights. ok I think this is enough for to day I guess I'm making up for the day I missed . til next time. peace health and happiness.

Sounds of Blackness Optimistic
This song sums it up for the start of a real Journey It will be done. I also run to this song.
On your mark get set Go!
Ok people,
Happy Fathers Day!
Had a lot of drama that could have thrown me off the goal but I must push forward. Its amazing how the devil knows exactly what buttons to push when you are on the road to success. I'm gonna change my paradigm about it and say Bring it on! You fear my success so much that you gotta through an emotional wrench in the program NOPE we will move forward. Normally I would have eaten the hurt away but no, I'm gonna allow myself to feel it and push threw it victoriously. A healthy mind faces its obstacles and goes to work to get over it, a healthy mind doesn't ignore it as if it doesn't exist. So the work out begins full force tomorrow I will also be keeping a food log on my fitness pal (droid app) the goal is to not exceed a 1500 cal diet since I have lost weight my resting metabolic rate has dropped significantly which explains why my weight loss has slowed down. My body doesn't need as many calories to function as it did 92 lbs ago so I had to recalculate my Caloric need. Maybe tomorrow I will post how to calculate yours for optimal healthy weight lost. The Key to a low calorie diet it not to starve yourself but to choose smarter, High Fiber and High Protein choices. They keep you full longer. So lets gear up people my day begins at 7am in the gym. Now that I have mobile blogging I can update you then.
PEACE LOVE & HEALTHINESS!

Ok so I spent all day yesterday stocking my Fridge with LOTS of Fruit, greek yogurt 100 cal bread and the ingredients needed to make my high fiber + protein granola, so that I can be ready. Of course Im on task now but Monday I'm gonna crank it up. My workout schedule should be complete today and ready to post what my calendar looks like as well as if I can do it I'm not gonna leave any room for not doing it but the truth is I am definitely expecting a lot from myself.
